Bankruptcy
Any financial problem can be solved. A fresh start is a
right entitled to everyone. Despite recent changes in the
bankruptcy code, you may still discharge debt, and keep your house and
car. If you are behind with house payments you may enter into a plan
that spreads repayment of missed payments over months or years, and
keep your house.
There are two types of Consumer Bankruptcies
available: Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. Lower income individuals may obtain
a fresh start immediately, in some cases discharging all debt.
Individuals or families with above average incomes now utilize a
repayment plan through a Chapter 13 bankruptcy reorganization. In a Chapter 13
bankruptcy plan the debtor family pays as much as they can reasonably afford, as
defined by the law and courts.
